Jointech's recently unveiled Eee PC 701 clone, the JL7100 has rushed head-first into the netbook market and its cvasi-secret weapon that should make it get noticed is its price tag, just $99. For that kind of 'green' you'll be getting a 680 grams ultra-mobile PC (UMPC) with a 7-inch LCD screen (800x480 pixels) that is claimed to be 'ideal' for -business, education, entertainment, office and home work.

Those suspicious of the JL7100 and especially its price tag should known that it does lack a few things found in the Eee PC 701 with one of the more relevant examples being the extra low amount of storage space - just 64MB, whereas Asus' first netbook featured at least 2GB. Given the space offered, the JL7100 comes with Microsoft's Windows CE 5.0 pre-installed and that certainly limits the machine's usability some more. At least it's cheap right
